As part of our community outreach to heart-related causes, 98% of all donations go directly to projects such as:
- Equipment for the Cardiac Rehab Center (AED, emergency crash cart, exercise equipment)
- Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation staff training scholarships
- Cardiac Nurse scholarships
- AED’s (automatic emergency defibrillators) for local schools and sports teams
- Educational materials for heart patients

Mended Hearts has 115,000 members operating through 215 community-based chapters and satellites across the U.S. with one in Canada. Chapters partner with more than 600 hospitals and cardiac care facilities in providing patient-to-patient support services. Mended Hearts accredited volunteers annually average more than 196,000 visits to heart patients and families mostly in person, but also online or by phone.
